you know how i feel

I can't seem to get this song out of my head. It has been the recursive soundtrack for today. It causes me to walk with a jazzy little shuffle, I think. And I feel dreamy, sexy like Kim Novak in Bell, Book, and Candle! What a great way to begin the week!

A room remade

After
Before
Out of all the renovation projects still going on, one room is complete except for a few minor things. The electrician will be here tomorrow morning at 8:15 to see about those. Now for my favorite part, the decorating.

The Artist's Way

Mr. Lowe bought the book and workbook as birthday presents a few months ago. After a few false starts, I'm well into the first few assignments and am really enjoying the process.

The gods smile over me

At the least the god of liars and cowherders and orators and travelers does. I guess Hermes is really the god for me since I qualify on all accounts!

Called to Assemble

New friends hosted the debut of the Global Gastronomes. The destination dinner party is a recent brainchild of mine and I think it was fun for all. Mr. Lowe even got a chance to premiere some tunes.

Flying Lessons

I've always heard tell, but I've never seen it with my own eyes. Today was the day that mama coaxed the baby thrashers out of their nest.

Why, yes. The nest is a baskets of ivy hanging over my kitchen patio. Thanks for noticing.

You might have ordered too many books when...

...they need an entire shelf. Just kidding. I believe a few diamonds are enough for any girl, but she can never have too many books! If you ever visit my house, you'll realize that it's not just a saying but words to live by around here. The talented Mr. Lowe (a.k.a. the once and future husband) is busy programming a beta library program for his Miss Bonkers. We're also planning to build a little house on the back of our property for all my school supplies and another one for all my fabrics. Really.
The latest delivery was from the Carson-Dellosa product line Building Blocks.
